Bicycle accident schoolboy wins £12,000

On 13 February 2008, 17 year old Andrew Clark was cycling to school when he was knocked off his bike by a motorist who drove out of a side road without looking.  He got out of his car and saw the terrible injuries to Andrew’s face, but after asking if Andrew was okay, he drove off.

“He took Andrew to the hospital where he was cleaned up, given painkillers then referred to another hospital where he endured four hours of facial surgery, which involved around 30 internal and external stitches.”
