Neil Crossley

Assistant Solicitor

Neil comes from a nursing background, having undertaken a BSc degree in Genetics before qualifying as a Registered Nurse. He decided to pursue a legal career after 6 years nursing practice, and undertook a Graduate Diploma in Law at Huddersfield University, where he achieved a Distinction and was awarded the Hammicks Legal Bookshop Prize for the Best Student on Course. He then went on to complete his LPC at the University of Sheffield.

Neil gained extensive paralegal experience comprising Personal Injury and Industrial Disease Claims experience in addition to Licensing Law work, before undertaking a training contract with a South Yorkshire based firm, and qualifying as a Solicitor in early 2009 thereafter joining Express Solicitors.

Neil has been involved in a number of high value cases involving serious injuries, most notably helping to secure damages in excess of £300,000 for a client who had sustained a serious back injury as a result of a fall from a ladder at work. While having a very keen interest in Public liability, Occupiers liability and Employers Liability claims, Neil forms part of Margaret Bailey-Tsavalas's Clinical Negligence team.

In his spare time, Neil enjoys painting, mainly abstract and contemporary works in acrylics on boxed canvas. He has previously exhibited online and has sold many artworks. He also has a passion for travel. Past destinations include southern Mexico, Cairo, Luxor, Rome, Istanbul, Malaysia, Borneo, and Singapore.
