Robert Weeden

robert-weeden

Robert Weeden is an Assistant Solicitor at Express Solicitors, where he specialises in Employer’s liability claims. Forming part of a department led by Partner Sharon Denby, he represents clients who have been involved in all manner of accidents in the workplace.

While holding an interest for a range of personal injury cases, Robert’s caseload largely consists of accident at work claims and it is this area of law which he is most passionate about.

Robert thrives on the interesting and challenging nature of running Personal Injury cases, and highlights his attention to detail and case management skills as his main strengths. An empathic individual, he also singles out effective communication as a key skill.

I feel strongly that an informed client is a happy client, therefore it is my duty to communicate effectively with those whom I represent, says Robert. I imagine there would be nothing worse than having one’s case taken on by a solicitor, only to be then left in the dark for months. We work hard to ensure that sort of thing doesn’t happen.

Recent successes for Robert include several compensation packages in the region of £10-15,000 for a variety of injuries that occurred during his clients course of employment.

Born and raised in Leeds, Robert completed his Law degree at Northumbria University where he also worked in the student law office throughout the last two years of his degree. He gained valuable experience here, before working as a legal assistant at a Trade Union law firm and completing his training contract with them.

A generally modest individual, Rob does from time to time very literally blow his own trumpet. He is an accomplished player and has experience of wowing large audiences having played in a jazz/rock band that represented Leeds at the Millennium Dome.

Well travelled, he backpacked around the world before going to university, taking in USA, Australia, New Zealand, Laos and Thailand. Rob stayed in the latter country for seven months, living with a Thai family and teaching at a local village school.

He employs his big shoulders and burly frame on the rugby pitch, turning out for local team in the second row position. And while Rob's a big fan of gangster films he just about manages to refrain from using Don Vito Corleones famous I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse when negotiating compensation settlements for his clients.

Express Solicitors Seeks Compensation For Hair Dye Victim... Because She's Worth It

The UK market for hair products is estimated to be £175million, with millions of women (and probably a few men) regularly dying their hair. Many will do this without a second thought, seemingly safe in the knowledge that the products available at salons, chemists and supermarkets have been rigorously tested and are safe. A client [...]

Poor Supervision Cause Of Child Injuries

We are currently working on a high volume of cases involving Child Injuries. Children are renowned for getting into the odd scrape as they explore new terrain and boisterously play, but unfortunately more serious accidents can occur should they not be supervised properly by parents, schools and nurseries. Parents pay good money, whether that is [...]
