Robert Weeden is an Assistant Solicitor at Express Solicitors, where he specialises in Employer’s liability claims. Forming part of a department led by Partner Sharon Denby, he represents clients who have been involved in all manner of accidents in the workplace.
While holding an interest for a range of personal injury cases, Robert’s caseload largely consists of accident at work claims and it is this area of law which he is most passionate about.
Robert thrives on the interesting and challenging nature of running Personal Injury cases, and highlights his attention to detail and case management skills as his main strengths. An empathic individual, he also singles out effective communication as a key skill.
I feel strongly that an informed client is a happy client, therefore it is my duty to communicate effectively with those whom I represent, says Robert. I imagine there would be nothing worse than having one’s case taken on by a solicitor, only to be then left in the dark for months. We work hard to ensure that sort of thing doesn’t happen.
Recent successes for Robert include several compensation packages in the region of £10-15,000 for a variety of injuries that occurred during his clients course of employment.
Born and raised in Leeds, Robert completed his Law degree at Northumbria University where he also worked in the student law office throughout the last two years of his degree. He gained valuable experience here, before working as a legal assistant at a Trade Union law firm and completing his training contract with them.
