Margaret Bailey-Tsavalas

Margaret-Bailey-Tsavalas

Originally from Newcastle-on-Tyne Margaret has, for 30 years, specialised in litigating complex, serious personal injury and clinical negligence cases.

Margaret joined Express in 2008 bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to the benefit of the firm and our clients. The understanding Margaret has for clients who have been let down by the medical profession, or who have been seriously injured, is very apparent. It is testament to her skill and insight that she has not only a rapport with her clients but also great empathy.

During her career, Margaret has conducted outstandingly successful litigation securing life changing amounts of damages for her clients. She has dealt with amputee cases, spinal injury including paraplegia, severe brain injury, delay in diagnosis of various cancers and terminal illnesses, mismanagement at birth resulting in injury or death and other catastrophic cases. Margaret is a Fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.

Her recent successes include Court approval for damages of £959,254 for the family of a professional woman with two young children in her early 40s who died from an illness which could have been treated and even prevented from developing at all but for the negligence of the medical staff at a local Hospital.

Margaret also secured damages exceeding £560,000 for a pedestrian who suffered injuries resulting in the loss of use of one of his arms after he was hit by a car whilst crossing a roundabout. At Trial she recovered 100 per cent of damages for a man who lost his eye during the course of his employment at a scrap metal yard because his employers had failed to provide him with a new pair of safety goggles when his old pair became broken.

Margaret has worked during her career for a number of other Law Firms including Thompsons, John Pickering Solicitors, Pannone and Fentons.
