Hafizah Begum is a Trainee Solicitor within Express Solicitors Road Traffic Accident (RTA) department, forming part of a team headed up by Rachel
Flannigan. The Road Traffic Accident Department is split into two departments and Hafizah handles liability disputed cases and complex higher value
claims of a diverse caseload of both pre and post-litigated cases. This includes dealing with accidents involving cars, buses, bikes and pedestrians.
She also deals with allegations of phantom passengers and low velocity impact allegations and claims for permanent injuries, complex psychological
disorders, long term care and loss of earning claims.

Prior to joining Express as a Litigation Executive in September 2010, Hafizah worked in an RTA department in a national law firm, where she also dealt
with Trade Unions, Credit Hire, Storage, Fraud and Low Velocity Impact cases.

Hafizah Studied at the University of Manchester for her LLB degree and then studied at the BPP Law School in Manchester to obtain her LPC, gaining a
distinction.

Citing her hardworking and focused nature as her professional strengths, Hafizah enjoys the varied nature of personal injury law as well as the regular
contact she has with her clients:

Recent successes for Hafizah include securing figures of more around £19,000, £18,000 and £13,000 for RTA victims.

Away from the office, Hafizah is busy with charity work. She sits on the Management Committee of two charities: The Westwood and Coldhurst Womens Association which deals with improving the lives of women in two disadvantaged communities and the Oldham Family Crisis Group which offers assistance to victims of domestic abuse.

Mountaineering is another passion of Hafizahs. Having already climbed Snowdon, Coniston Old Man and Scafell Pike in the UK and Mount Sinai in Egypt and the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, she hopes one day to tackle Kilimanjaro and Everest.

Yet, no matter how tired Hafizahs limbs get on a climb, her hiking buddies can rest assured she won't take it out on them. Her favourite quote comes from American writer William Arthur Ward : "It is wise to direct your anger towards problems - not people; to focus your energies on answers - not excuses".
